Educational Services

Welcome to the Educational Services Department

This department coordinates K-12 district curriculum, instruction, professional development, district and state assessments and mandatory state and federal reporting. We support the instructional and curricular needs of students and teachers in the Healdsburg Unified School District.

HUSD educators are shifting their approach to teaching and learning in order to meet the demands of 21st century. Our approach includes a focus on communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity though inquiry-based projects that incorporate technology, connections to the community, career exploration and the development of social, emotional and career skills for success in both work and in life. As we shift to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) educators are piloting new curriculum materials and continue to engage in life-long learning so they can best serve our students.
